Vegetable Burgers

This recipe is really fairly easy and fun to make!!

Before we start cooking, there are a few safety tips to remember:
1. Wash your hands
2. Make sure all your cooking utensils are clean
3. Keep all sharp equipment out of the way

Firstly fry the onion, leek, garlic together in the oil for 1 minute, then add the potato, cook 1 minute slowly.

Now add all other ingredients except the egg, fry 1 minute, or until the excess moisture has evaporated.

Next we need allow the mixture to cool and then we add the egg to bind the mixture. (Bind means sticking it all together!)

This is the fun bit, we need to shape the mixture into burger shapes, dust with plain flour and finally fry in 2 tablespoons vegetable oil pre-heated in a frying pan. (You might need to wash your hands first though!)

Finally carefully remove the burgers from the frying pan and place in your burger bun.

You could add some salad and home made tomato sauce.

Enjoy!
